1947 Federal Restoration Project

Long ago, we replaced our 1947 Federal Firetruck with newer frontline equipment. When the Federal was deemed surplus, it was purchased by Past Chief Jack Kissel. Jack held on to this truck for many years. In 2025 with our 75th Anniversary arriving, Past Chief Kissel donated the apparatus back to the fire company for restoration and use. We received the truck from Past Chief Kissel and started the cleaning process as it sat in his garage unused for many years. We spent many hours cleaning the unit and getting it usable for the 75th Anniversary Parade. While the engine wasn't working, we made do placing a tow hitch on the front to be towed behind Past Chief Joe Monell's pick-up truck during the parade. Jack's only stipulation was that a Stedner family member was to operate it during the parade. Past Chief Scott Stedner manned the wheel with Jack in the passenger seat for the parade.

We have dreams to restore this unit to its former glory. We have a long road ahead to get it back to that glory and are accepting any donations for help.

We have set up a Zeffy fund to accept donations to be used for this purpose. If you wish to help us restore this unit, please click the link below or scan the QR Code from any device.
